The original assumption was that community product builders needed a smarter industry reader. Almost everyone interviewed already had RSS, bookmarks, group chats, or newsletters. What was missing was the relationship between a change and their own product.

“Better products often begin by removing an answer that looked essential.”

The prototype no longer presents an infinite feed. Its smallest unit is: what changed, why it matters to you, and which decision it might affect. Every brief must retain the original source.

The next phase validates only change detection and attribution. There will be no polished reading interface until those two things work. If they do not, the proposal stops.

This note reflects the judgment at publication. The product will keep changing, and new evidence may overturn the conclusion.
